Creating Animations Using Audio

You might recall an earlier experiment where I dabbled with Meta’s animation tool. Today, I’d love to share another approach to creating animations, but using a new tool that uses audio as input.

The Process

1. Starting with a Seedling Idea: Every masterpiece begins with an idea. For me, given what I do, it was showcasing the virtues of hotel loyalty through an animated character, the affable Dr. Ben Benefit.

2. Co-Creation with AI: But how to give shape to this idea? Enter ChatGPT. With its ability to generate and iterate using natural language, I collaborated with ChatGPT to eke out an engaging script.

3. Breathing Life Through Voice: With a script in hand, the next step was to give Dr. Ben a voice. ElevenLabs was my go-to choice, offering pitch-perfect audio narration, which acted as the soul for our character.

4. Animating Dr. Ben: Now, it was time for the visuals. Adobe Express, with its capability to match audio with animation, transformed our script and voiceover into a living, speaking Dr. Ben. And the best part? No technical animation skills needed!

5. The Final Touches Lastly, with my trusty video editor (FCPX), I pieced the audio and animation together, adding the final finishing touches to our masterpiece.

So, here’s the deal: with today’s tech (big shout-out to AI!), it’s become a breeze to bring wild ideas to life. I’m just a marketer and I love how Generative AI advances are breaking down the technical barriers for all of us (and in turn raising the bar for the professionals!).
